The Cal Poly community has voted on more than 50 categories of San Luis Obispo’s best activities, hangouts, restaurants and more. In this edition, students will find their favorite local businesses, many of which have just reopened after a year of lockdown. For students who haven’t yet had the opportunity to become as acquainted with our wonderful local community, this year’s Poly Picks may serve as a guide for you to do just that. 

San Luis Obispo has a lot to offer with a beautiful natural environment, a charming downtown and of course, our great university, Cal Poly. I encourage you to take advantage of your time in this unique place by supporting the local businesses that make up our charismatic town and keeping student traditions alive. Staple activities like beach bonfires at Grover Beach and Firestone’s “Tri-Tip Challenge” help make the Cal Poly experience, so please enjoy looking through this year’s “Poly Picks.”
